Schlage is an American lock manufacturer founded in 1920 by Walter Schlage. Schlage was headquartered in San Francisco from its inception until it relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1997. Schlage also produces high-security key and cylinder lines Primus, Everest, and Everest Primus XP. Schlage is one of the most popular brands of consumer and commercial locks in the United States.

"In the begging it was a good place to work. Then the magment kept changing. One hand didn't know what the other one was doing. The younger generation didn't respect the people that had been there for years and knew how the process worked. They would tell us to shut up and do it there way. That is why I left the company."

"expected to work hard for little pay and no appreciation. The management was very bad and showed high favoritism. Working hard did not count for anything. Cons: not enough help no appreciation for the work done"

"The actually daily jobs are great and pretty straight forward. Learned how to set-up warranty claims, Install and trouble shoot locks over the phone. Learned how to handle customers of all types and from all walks of life."

"A typical day at Schlage was getting the line ready to run. I learned that if I didn't do my job the line didn't run. Management sayed out the way as long as you did your job. My co-workers was a group of ladies that worked on the line that kept me in good spirits all day. The hardest part of the job was getting parts on the line from staging to keep the line running and not shutting down. The most enjoyable part of the job was that my supervisor knew how hard I worked to keep the line running."
